Just bring your favorite essential oil to add to your gift creation! Then spend time visiting with team members and taste testing some great YL products and recipes using YL products!

Be sure to RSVP  to 225-337-8324 for planning purposes so we can have enough supplies for everyone. See you there!

If you won’t be in the Baton Rouge area for the festivities, or even if you will, here is a yummy DIY recipe you can make at home. This decadent mixture will help keep your skin moisturized in the winter months. Enjoy!

Bronzing Mint Chocolate Whipped Body Butter

Bronzing Chocolate Mint Wipped Body ButterIngredients

  • ¼ cup organic shea butter
  • ¼ cup organic cocoa butter
  • ¼ cup organic virgin coconut oil
  • ¼ cup jojoba oil
  • 1 tbsp organic cocoa powder (Will diminish the oily finish and add a bronzing effect. For a White Chocolate version just leave it out.)
  • 10-20 drops of Young Living Peppermint essential oil (or other Young Living essential oils of choice such as Lavender or Orange) Click Here to get started with essential oils.
  • (optional) 1 teaspoon naturally derived Vitamin E (non GMO)

  1. Combine all ingredients, except the cocoa powder and essential oils, in a small pot or double boiler.
  2. Gently melt and stir over medium-low heat until the mixture is liquid.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the cocoa powder.
  4. Place the bowl in the fridge or freezer to help set the mixture more quickly.
  5. Once the mixture is partially set, add the peppermint essential oil or other essential oils of choice.
  6. Whip with a mixer until the body butter is fluffy and stiff peaks have formed. If mixture is it not whipping, chill for bit longer.
  7. Keep in an air tight jar out of direct sunlight.
  8. Enjoy for yourself or give as a gift!
  9. If mixture melts just chill and whip again. 😉

There are no preservatives in this recipe. However, the oils selected are naturally antimicrobial. I recommend high quality, cold-pressed oils for a longer shelf life (and better for you!).  This mixture should last 3-6 months at room temperature and up to a year with the added Vitamin E.
