Is it 100 degrees where you are yet? It’s not quite summer but temperatures are off the charts in many places already. I can’t think of a better way to keep calm and stay cool than to have an ice-cold refreshing drink. This summer, we’re putting a minty lemon-lime twist to a southern classic: the Arnold Palmer. Can you say “Refreshing!”?

Makes 1 Gallon
6 tea bags (black or green tea)
4 Cups hot water
Stevia or Agave nectar to sweeten
To Make the Tea: Steep 6 tea bags in 4 cups of hot water. Remove from heat until cool. While you’re waiting for the tea to cool, you can prepare the other 1/2 of the Arnold Palmer: Lemon-Limeade.
4 limes (juice 3 of them, cut one into wedges or slices)
2 lemons (juice 1 1/2, cut the remaining 1/2 into wedges or slices)
4-6 drops of Lime Essential Oil
4-6 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
3-4 drops of Spearmint (or Peppermint or Wintergreen) Essential Oil
3 Cups cold water
Stevia or agave nectar to sweeten
To Make the Limeade: In a 1-Gallon pitcher, add 3 c of cold water, juice of lemons and limes and the essential oils. Add sweetener to taste.
Once the tea cools, pour it into the pitcher of lemon-lime ad and stir to blend well. Add the lemon and lime wedges or slices and stir. Pour the mixture over a tall glass of ice and enjoy!
